As just about every one I know model's typical Canadian or US Railway's, if NG it is either Logging or Colorado.
I have a fun time modelling SA Railways with the variety and the look on peoples faces when they are trying to figure out some of the rolling stock.
It is hard to pick a highlight from the book as it covers so many varied railway's,
from prisoner run logging railway's, the Falkland system with wind powered passenger car's, and of course a whaling station.
The variety of motive power and rolling stock, a lot of suitable idea's for 1/35 scale cars in your case.
A minimum amount of scenery or structure's, unless you model a whaling station which could be interesting concept.
With 4 engines in various stages of building, a Kitson-Meyer 2-6-6-2T, 2 Mitsubishi 2-10-2s, and a Henschel 2-8-2
I still have a ways to go (still without a place to run them )
Best idea is to go through the site, it will keep you busy for a while as there is a vast amount of information to see and read.
