Robert the sound quality in the Tsunami is better and a bit louder...but then to be fair.... The plug-n-play unit I have was for the Bachmann HO shay and that has a smaller speaker.

The options with the Tsunami are greater too.

There is a choice of 8 whistles alone compared to 3 with the p-n-p.

Many other sounds too that are not in the p-n-p like water being loaded from a water tank to the tender.....sound of a mechanic's ratchet wrench ...the clank of the reverser being engaged..and it has a clank from the drive shaft that you can hear when it is in motion that is pretty cool..and coal being shoveled.

There are also extra leads for special effects I will be doing is a flickering light from the firebox if I ever get around to for that soon.:thumb:
