For a young man you seen wise beyond your years!

Wanting to save that building is a great idea. Since you don't yet have a job (I am assuming) Could you get your parents interested in buying the station? The railroad just might be glad to get it off their hands. Just be sure that there are no restrictions in the deed that prevent  use of the building for anything that you might want to use it for in the future, including a residence. Since you are probably still a minor, your parents will have to be the ones to talk to the owners. Offer to take it off their hands for the cost of surveying and deed transfer, Be sure that the ground that is included includes any water supply (well?) and sewage disposal. If your folks aren't interested or able to help out- is there some other adult that you are friends with that might be in a position to?

I wish you success in this endeavor-- keep us informed.
