|I lived all my life near or around Susquehanna. When I was a kid there used to be double tracks going by our house until they took them out. My father works as a butcher in the supermarket on the very spot the shops used to be. I dug up some pics online and thought I would post them. The town has been dead since the rail road left but they still have some good historical remains. The large water tank is still standing. Here are a few images:
We had our high school prom here. It was beautiful!
Also the stone viaduct I passed under everyday on our way to school. I even got the chance to sneak over it while running Cross Country in HS.
Also Buck's falls is 3 miles from me and the concrete abutments are still there from this large trestle. Bucks falls is a nice place to camp and swim. This is the only image I could find of the trestle.
Hope you all enjoy these!
