Gentlemen:

I have a 25-year-old MRC Tech 3 "Power Command" analog controller with Voltmeter, Ammeter, Rotary Speed Control, Direction, Brake, and Momentum switches, and fixed voltages for turnouts, trackside lighting, etc.

I used this controller many years ago for my big LGB train on a 150-foot dogbone layout running between my house and garage.  It did the job with no strain!

After laboriously wading through the over-abundance of functions on my new MRC Prodigy 2 Advanced DCC controller, it was a breath of fresh air and a pleasure to go back to Analog control, even though my new Atlas O-Scale 2-Rail GP60 loco has full DCC and 16-bit sound on board.

I'm still able to get the sounds I want by manipulating the Direction switch with the required manual "touch".

Is this a testimony praising the Analog over the DCC control system?

Could be....
