The museum at Mineral, about an hour away by the train, has a large collection of locomotives and rolling stock.

Corralling small children was not conducive to extensive railfan photography. Plus, a lot of the equipment is in sheds with no room to get good photos. The "Gear Shop" has three shays, two of which look to be operational, a Climax, also appearing to be in operating condition, and a Heisler, which looks good too, The third Shay is pretty sad.

This fabulous Willamette skidder was parked out doors and made a great backdrop for kid photos.
