If the Isle of Man is still anything like it was when I was there 30 years ago, get there! Three-foot gauge steam, two different traction lines (one of which IIRC is also a cog line), a 15" gauge steam line and the world's last commercial horsecar line. If I ever get back that way I'd want to spend about a week just taking it all in.
Yes from what Ive seen it is all as it was back in Victorian times and kept that way with enthusiasm and vigor, the only industry is "tourism" and the TT races...
Sorry but Australia has a commercial Horse Tram Line, runs out to Granite Island and if you pick the day right "British" experience with a howling gale and sleet caressing you on the top deck.
