JUst about to order the Gilpin Railrod Era book from the Colorado Rail Museum, (they still have them in stock at $80.00) when a buy it now popped up in my eBay search the other morning for $45.00! I couldn't hit the button fast enough! Just received the book Friday, it's amazing, the other ones I have are good, but this is THE reference book to have. Also found this one "Gilpin County Gold-Peter McFarlane 1848-1929 Mining Entrepreneur in Central City, Colorado" by H. William Axford (210 pages), not much on the tram line, but hoping a bunch of mining and stamp mill info in it. It does have a fair amount of photos of the area buildings, and it was cheap on eBay for an old out of print hardback book in great shape at $10.00. The title and line drawing on the cover jacket sold me right away.

I'm a Colorado mining district afficianado. Planning a layout in HOn3 based on the Gilpin County area.
