If all you want to do is watch a train chase its tail, the yes DC would be the way to go. When you want to start adding switches, you will have to run wires for block control. Wire a bunch of toggle switches. Run wires for frog polarity. Wire up some kind of switch to change the frog polarity. Run a bunch feeder wires so there is no voltage drop. If you want a reverse loop buy some more wire,relays,sensors. Build a panel with a scamatic of your layout so you can remember what all the toggle switches do. Spend most of your time cleaning track chasing down shorts and bad connections. No thank you. I will stick with "wireless".Stephen
