Good evening:cb:. I have been posting in the On30 about track designs for a portable layout i want to build.I would like to include a logging camp at one end of the layout.I would like to know what type of buildings would a logging camp need to start out.I want a small camp as the layout is 2'x24'.I have 2'x9' for the camp.I was thinking of camp cars for the loggers to sleep in,a food shack to eat at & a shower building.Did they put theses on flat cars to begin the operations, and then build more permanet buildings as the camp grew? What other buildings would be built and in what order? My time period is 1930s to 1950s.I want it to be a very small operation at first and build it as if there are trucks from other areas hauling logs to a loading point,(because I like building trucks)until they get the tracks built.Would they have one bigger camp where all the building would be built, then the loading points at other locations? I guess thats enough Questions.I will be in and out of internet service till after Xmas,so I might not be able to reply as soon as normal.Thank you,Richard
