That little lokie by Dave has turned out to be the Freerails icon.

I think that it says everything there is to say about the site.

Do it and do it your way.

It is a lovely bit of scratch building.

I have wondered about it a bit myself.

Thanks for the story.

Dave,

I've been wondering since my first day here, what this was built on and how.

What a joy to see it bit by bit.

NICE!

I'd seen the finished version of course, but always wondered the story on it...

Great job.

In looking at Dave's build and some other critter builds based on scavenged mechanisms,
I can't figure out one thing:

How do you guys attach the frame to the mechanism?
I would think gluing or epoxying would be too "permanent" in that it might render the mechanism un-repairable in the future.

Brackets glued to the body of the mechanism, then screw the frame to the brackets?

Thanks

Rick
