DW, I forgot that the 4th of July is a holiday in the US. And then New Jersey and Chicago seem to be only about 700 - 800 miles apart, so I can see how you feel. Few miles and few hours, ofcourse not a very good thing...
Good thing you have Freerails -aaahhhh- I mean the Dog Bone to keep you busy
Hope you get a good run after unloading tomorrow, Bart

It's been a while since I added anything to this post.
I received the Bachmann On30 2-6-0 mogul I bought on eBay. Nice engine, runs good. Naturally it's way too large for my micro... but hey, I've wanted one of these for a while now.
I also bought and received a Bachmann On30 trolley with the idea of using the motor block eventually in some sort of critter bash. $29 plus shipping for a new unit. A test run around the Dog Bone's 6" radius curves revealed no issues with it negotiating such a tight radius. I must have done a decent job of handlaying the track within specs.
I also bought two pairs (4 total) of motor blocks from an Athern HO 44 tonner from a seller on eBay. I'm contemplating ways of using these for potential motive power builds in either small bashed critters or railbus type units. Something to think about while motoring down the interestate.
I decided to stop adding entries to my blog and instead began building a webpage in it's place to chronicle what's going on with the Dog Bone. Freerails of course is linked as well as mentioned (even Woodie garnered a mention) The link in my sig takes you to the new webpage for the Dog Bone.
Can't say I've actually worked on the micro much lately. The past week I've been running the wheels off this ol' Kenworth, wracking up 3600+ miles in seven days. By the time my days end I am too beat to do much. What sucks more is not being able to get online for three or four days. :Hmm:
Later guys.
