Thanks Si, I need all the encouragement I can get! I have some more "movements" to describe and would like it if someone else had some ideas to add also.
The Bachmann On30 "regular" archbar trucks scale out to 3' wheelbase in 1:35, the same as the trucks on the real Silver City equipment and the design is quite similar to the real ones also. The longer wb trucks are great for other cars, I use them and the low slung "logging" trucks since they look pretty much like those under Maine 2 footer cars. My friend Sullivan has Foothills On30 logging trucks which look just like Gilpin Tramway trucks. A little searching can turn up many parts for the larger scale. For instance, nice "curvy spoke" brake wheels are Selley O scale old time wheels...they are a mite large for true O scale, but look great in 35.
Thanks for your interest, take care and run a train today!

Hi Woodie
Thanks for that.
I was going to 'go on' a bit about trucks HERE...
...but I'm gonna revive my 'not posted to' for a while thread...
...& waffle on about my 'lint' over there.
Drop by & have a look.
Special request for 'Switching The Mines'
MORE BROWNHOIST ACTION !!!
I know these 'seat of their pants' railroads didn't bother clearing wrecks up to much ( unless there was cash to be made from it ! ) but...
There must be some debries somewhere around the mines that needs 'Brownhoisting away' to the company shops or the scrap yard ! So...
Let's see some of that ol' scrap iron 'hoisted' & shipped to the car-shop & scrap yard !
There you go...
...My Mogolon Movement Must-Have !
Cheers
Si.

Woodie,
Just perused this thread checking out the pictures. Will have to go through and read it all tonight with a brewski in hand. What a great outdoor railroad. I love it.
First I need to read it, more comments to come.

AH HA-
The explosives car--I remember that!
On a kindred note, something about a goofy stub switch floats to the top of the sludge in my head--------

Yes, Erbie...the 4 way is still "floating"...they all float down here!
The explosives car is kept at the smelter's machine shop, a nice safe place where drums of gasoline and acetone are stored next to the car.
This thread will continue, it's been powerful hot lately and other stuff has taken attention away from taking photos...like operations.

I'll bet a lot of ore got transferred today. The weather here in the Dallas area was GORGEOUS! There was lots of sunshine but it was relatively cool and breezy.

James-Saturday was spent with "doofer duties" and later on some track was "fixed". No ore got processed but lots of other "stuff" got done. However, there are still 8 loaded ore cars ready to be dumped and some loaded cars under tipples here & there. If I get the camera, some more stuff will be added here.
