One of the reasons I decided to switch to On30 was the ability to detail the bejeezus out of models. One of the drawbacks from going From N to O is the amount of real estate that it takes up. I have enough space for either the JV Lucas mill, or Keystone Danby. Last night I caught up on Dave's super-mill, and after I mopped up a puddle of drool, I decided that there is no reason why I couldn't build a sweet (but much smaller) mill as well.

I can't seem to find either kit available in O scale...

L:

Does anyone have plans for either of these kits? Scale doesn't matter...I can resize and print...

Thanks Lynn. I guess I had a mental moment without thinking to check walthers.

Any idea if any machinery is included in that JV kit?

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward the smaller mill...

The mill engine, and boiler are still easily sourced from Keystone...adding the circular saw from sierra west....hmmm.

Found the Danby Mill on Fleabay. In HO scale....Ordered it, just for the plans. I'll have it back on there after making copies...

Unless someone on here wants it!

Good luck finding the sawmill kit in O scale. I had one on order for about 3 years in the last century..finally gave up on ever getting the kit.  Another great reason for building a mining railroad!

Wish I had caught you sooner. I have the O scale Danby kit. I could copy them if you like. At the time I bought it I was able to get some machinery for it too. It will take up residence in the boat repair yard in the not to distant future. Some of the sawmills can end up being the whole layout if you get wound up in it.

:bang:

Never fails.

Clif, is there any way they could be scanned an emailed? If that's too much to ask, that's no problem, The HO kit should be here in a day or two, and it doesn't take me more than 15 minutes to scan, then resize them. More than likely, I'd end up completely redrawing them digitally anyway, so I can use standard sized stripwood rather than scale lumber. (the difference between a 1/16 board, and a scale 2" isn't super important to me, I'd rather be able to pick up midwest basswood at the LHS rather than order online)

I will see what I can do and let you know what I get. It may take a couple of days though. You know with this working for a living stuff.

Got the plans done, check your private email. I hope the message went through. If not I will send it again.
