Thanks to the help of some stellar folks on freerails, I'm armed to the teeth with information on building a small mill. Many thanks!

This weekend is the Great Scale Model Train Show at Timonium Maryland... I'll be scouring the tables for pieces and parts that will help me in my efforts, and whatever I can't get there, I'll be ordering. It might be hard to do a proper "scour"with a super excited 5 year old in tow (or more likely towing me)

Once I get started...I'll start a new thread for everyone to follow along.

Again...Thanks!

Ooooh...Timonium!

Wish I could be at that one...not so much for the show though.

I have a friend who lives in Baltimore that's opening his HOn30 layout up for ops and I was invited...if I could get there.

Good luck finding parts for the sawmill. You should be successful at that show.

Clif, I just scored the O scale Danby castings on eBay but again, no plans. I have the HO scale kit complete with plans but there seem to be some different parts in O scale. Would you mind sending me a copy of your plans too?

Thanks, Doug

Funny how life gets in the way of what we wanna do! But I suppose if we want to eat and stay warm...

It appears to be all the metal castings from the O scale kit. Once I have an inventory list I can verify what I have. Interestingly, I almost lost them...literally! The seller sent them Priority mail and mistakenly taped the hinge side of the box instead of the flap side. When the box arrived, it was empty. I called my post office and contacted the seller who, within a few hours, discovered the parts had fallen out at his post office. WHEW! :glad:

Talk about lucky! :thumb:
