Another day of railfanning. I hauled an empty intermodal container to Dallas this morning. After getting rid of it at our customer's drop yard my next load to pickup was at Union Pacific's intermodal yard.

Sorry Woodie and I didn't know you would be in town.  I live about 10 minutes from that intermodal facility and Woodie lives another 10 minutes away.

Didn't know that. This was the on the south side of Dallas on I-45. Unfortunately I was pressed for time and wouldn't have been able to meet. :(

Well that terminal is a little further.  I thought you were at the Mesquite terminal.  We live on the east side.  I live a couple of minutes from the I-30/US 80 split.  Let us know if you are going to be in the area and we will try to work something out.

DW-if you come here, Mopman's layout is always "on display" and operating...if you want to visit my layout, you will need to discuss the weather with Mother Nature...cold is no problemo, but rain is something else. Give us a holler if you are headed this way.

I spotted this standard gauge 2-8-2 Mikado a few weeks ago when I rolled through Broken Bow, Oklahoma in southeast Oklahoma. The builder's plate from Baldwin shows it to be 60006. This morning I had enough time to spare to stop and take a few photos. Besides the engine there is a skelton log car displayed with it as well. L&P couplers and archbar trucks.
