OK Guys

I guess I just dont get it---I bought a little HO Bachman Thomas train for my grandson and I want to put a simple speed and direction DCC decoder board in it, but there seems to be a bunch of different types of boards.  just need a simple board and some guidance to install it

Thanks

Unless you are going to run it on a layout that is set up to run other DCC equipped locos, why not just use straight DC?

Guys,

Is there a standard speed and direction board out there that works good with my Bachman setup?

Also when I get a bit more into the DCC I assume there is a good standard speed & sound board that will work with this Bachman DCC setup---Is that correct

Thanks again

Larry

Larry,

I just spoke to my DCC guys and they say you can use the Digitrax DZ125 n scale decoder for a Thomas HO loco.

As it is designed for an N scale loco the fit will be pretty easy in the shell, and it will handle the amps very well.

Here is a link to the PDF file for the instructions for installation from the Digi Trax website.

http://www.digitrax.com/ftp/DZ125.pdf

They are easy to install and if you go this route and need assistance I can help you out. Pretty simple really.

Dave
