My layout is sort of on the way and I know I'm going to have a problem with kangaoos and the occaisional dingo.

Want to know what to use  for barbed wire  in O scale?

The clown sitting on or above the cow catcher first train out needs a new rifle for 'roo shooting, and the Q.is who makes firearms in O scale?(Not necessarilly in working order).

John,

I used this photetched gear picked up on ebay via an online store (aint no local military modelleing shops near me).  Ignore the price tag on it, thats in Singapore $ I think.  I'm pretty sure it was only about $8-10Au, plus a couple of $ postage from memory.  For photoetched material of this quality, it was cheap.  I'm very happy with its finish, and do plan on getting more when the current supply runs out.

The stuff works well at keeping wandering kids fingers out of dioramas when they are on display at exhibitions too...

Not sure about the firearms supply, but should be easy enough to shape something from a few scraps of styrene.

Dan-that's cool barbed wire. It can be used in 1:35 also and I believe Verlinden makes some in both scales also.

John-if you want some guns, look for Tamiya's 1:48 military kits. They have all kinds of guns including my favorite-the BAR with a tripod. And with each set of guns, you get some nice soldiers that can me "fixed up" into railroad workers. Same goes for 1:35 scale also.

John and all...SQUADRON SHOP will send this kind of stuff anywhere in the world. They have a website and are very nice to deal with. Then you wouldn't have to scour the internet and that Gawd-awful ebay crap to find details. Give them a try.

Spiral wire from a spiral notebook = concertina wire.

John, TinMinis http://tinminis.com/TinManBases.html have a nice sprue of guns which I've used on my Updah Creek gunsmith's and stage units.

They paint up nicely and are fine for O scale.

I used some barbed wire meant for wargaming, and it looks great on the corn field fence on my layout.
If memory serves, the brand name was Army Painter. I found it on eBay...
