Thanks for the photo, Peter.

Always nice to be able to put a face with the text.

I have decided to do a course in digital photography, I have rarely been happy with my photos. When they OK its a hit and miss arrangement.

It seems a pity that I have purchased a Nikon DSLR digital camera ( 5100)and still not getting the results I am happy with.  I think this is another extension to our wonderfull hobby.

Mainly interested in still photography but would be nice to be able to do the occasional movie. The course I have chosen is run by NIKON.

I already have a photo editing program on my computer. Nikon may suggest a more suitable course.

I understand this course will be over a few days. It is not a online course. they indicate on some occassions it is a one on one .

Not only will this hopefully improve my modelrailroad photos but can be applied to general stuff as well

Wish me luck on this new venture in this field.

Don

I will throw my hat in the ring here.

This was on a train watching ride a few years ago and taken in Radium Springs NM.

Thanks for the photo!
I had a Beemer once--a R60/5--One of about 35 bikes in 50 years of riding.

Way to go Cobber! If it is a one on one, tell the instructor specifically what kind of photography that you would like to do better. They all know a lot more than they can convey in a time-limited class, so no use wasting time on flowers and such (unless Jessie tells you differently).

And please pass on to us the high points of the session--and of course show us the results.

Herbie

Thanks Herb, I have since sold it but it was by far my favorite motorcycle in my lifetime.

Love Beemers. I ran an R-75 out to 160,000 miles. Traded it in for an R-100RT.

Loved 'em both.

Here I am last year at my step-daughter's wedding with my lovely wife. I got to officiate and her birth father walked her down the aisle. It was beautiful.
