As for being politically correct, I do not know of a politician that is correct.

Now the wine, at least its not a drum, and I do note that you are using a glass.

We have asked Dave not to post his picture for fear of it corrupting our computers.

Now how about you let us see some of your trains

Paladin

Hi Paladin:

My trains sadly are still in their delivery boxes (from Trainworld). I have recently had eye surgery on both of my eyes (cataracts) and the recovery time is unfortunately much longer than anticipated.

Currently I have a (in On30) Shay, a Climax and a Mogul and I have also purchaesd two Heislers in HO scale to convert to On30 . I have downloaded Paul Templar's instructions on how to converrt  an HO Heisler to On30. I figured that was better than two Porters for yard work.

Attached is a photo of the status of my train room (14+ feet by 18+ feet). A former next door neighbour (and all around really good guy) has done the wiring (he's an electrician) and I'm ready for the dry wall. I will do that when my eyes are completely recovered. With a little bit of luck I will be starting construction of the Kettle Valley Railway in September. Pictures will be available for those with nothing better to do than watch a fumbling wanna be.

I must warn you that I'm really anal about my work and redo things many times over just to make it the way I want it. On the other hand, I'm not nearly as accomplished as the rest of you..........YET !

Patrick

This is ole tall and skinny on the left. And that's my former office! Always told everyone my office was 50 feet wide by 100 miles long.

Opps!

Actually its a 10 1/2 tonner.

Ken,

Here is what I know of it.

The text I saved with the pic reads.....

It's a ten and a half ton, 2 cylinder Shay.

It was the only engine in the Molino Timber Co.

One of only 4 engines built to this small size.

Lima plan #2203

It says it was sold to the  Loma Prieta Lumber Company in 1918 and
it was scrapped there in the 1930's.

I saved the photo so long ago I cannot remember where it came from....my best bet is I found it on that Clark Kinsey Photo site???

So hard to tell!  That looks like an all weather cab.  Still, a great little Shay!
