Hi,

In order to change between my RC locos as easy as possible,

and to reach the on-off switch of the loco also in inaccessible situations like in a fiddleyard,

I equip my engines with a special permanent reed switch.

Here built into my Gn15 distillery loco.

This switch doesn't work like a standard reed contact that only closes as long as a magnetic field is acting upon it.

This one closes by moving a magnet along in one direction and then keeps closed.

And moving the magnet along in the other direction, the contact opens again !!

For "activation" I use a Harry Potter Wand :moose:

If I have trains near together in a fiddle yard it's easier to have the switch in the roof
and this solution is independent from the position of the receiver board and from the system you use.

And it works without any additional elektronic.
Just the switch soldered in one wire from the battery.
