Hi Charley
Yeah...I wondered about the rust out there.
I figured it must be realy dry, the way things were looking in your photos.
If you left stuff like that outside where I live for 10 years; you'd be looking at a pile of iron-oxide powder !!!
Didn't know there was a chance of a new gold-rush out there.
Charley, you've done some real nice models there dude.
They all look great.
You realy hit the mark with the painting.
( I gotta practice more ! )
See if you can dig up any more 'gold nuggets' from those zip-drives of yours !
Cheers
Si.

Hi Charley
More great models dude !
I have to say; I do like this funky industrial stuff myself.
A good modelling friend I haven't seen for years; likes it even more.
I think he drew the Merced Gold Mine Porter years ago as well.
He told me to visit 'The Amberley Chalk-Pits Museum' in South-England to look at these kinds of locos & cars which they have there.
( some compressed-air, also )
So I did !!!
Somewhere I have a load of realy cool photographs of their loco's, cars & track, I took there.
I'll copy them to digital & post them; you might be interested to see them Charley.
( probably take a few days though )
They filmed a 'James Bond Movie' there.
Can't remember the name of it.
But it was the one with Christopher Walken as the bad-guy.
His hide-out was some kind of old-mine...
...and they filmed the loco's & cars at Amberley.
Where did you get your 1:24 figures Charley.
A particular brand ?
Or DIY modded ?
They look great.
I just have Tamiya car-mechanics at the moment.
They're OK...but yours look 1,000,000 times better !
Cheers
Si.

Hi Charley
Does SLM stand for something ?
Like a full name ?
I don't know this acronym.
Yeah...the internet has realy helped with research.
When I started US narrow gauge; I struggled to find info in the UK.
Even UK info, was hard to find.
It's good to be able to talk to people with similar interests.
I knew just a few modellers, in the UK only.
I have a few questions to ask, about wheels & couplers.
I'm sure if I ask them here, there will be quicker progress; from the benifit of members experience.
Tis good !
Cheers
Simon
