Neat!
Now you can play "race the train to the crossing"
Did you change the gearing to get it to run realistically slow?
I like that!

Way to go! Now you must decide between running trains or running trucks...Is the train r/c also?

The motor/gearbox unit is a beautiful 6v job built for video camera lens control, and this one has a built in 100:1 ratio, giving a scale top speed of 20mph (you can also buy 3v and 12v versions, but the 6v is ideal for running off a singlr Lipo).
I forgot to mention that this works WITH the railway..... the NG tippers will discharge down a chute into either standard gauge wagons, or, when required, into the back of this truck, which takes about three tippers worth, and will then drive off into the sunset!
the trains are DCC, rather than radio - thus far, I hadn't considered radio - and I suspect I shan't have space in these!

Nice work Giles. That has a lot of potential in other areas of the layout. Nicely done.

Hi Giles,
Wonderful is the car. I want to start one in 1:35.
Do you have some more information (photos) about the construction
I thought I had seen more about the construction on the internet but can't find more.
John
