Lee, yes it is possible to build something similar to Giles' work...but it would take some serious funds! Giles has the good fortune (besides being an artist and micro-surgeon) that he has access to the ultra small receivers which make these vechicles possible. proportional forward/reverse and steering. From what I understand, such "Eurpoean" devices are "banned" by our Homeland Security because crazies "can make bomb detonators" from them! However, if the parts could be had here, maybe we could talk. I have wanted, for years, to build a nice 1:32 or 1:35 Model T, etc. which would be r/c...but my problem is that the front suspension of such a model would need to be scratch built since it shows (details) and would have to be made from metal. But also, am I more interested in running trains or running r/c cars? Hmmm...

Giles wrote: I wasn't aware you had a ban affecting such useful bits as Davies T's receivers.... most unfortunate....
However, a van, or box trailer would easily contain a more fonventional aircraft type receiver- you just wouldn't get the flat-bed that is otherwise possible.
I'm certainly busy with work for a while, but never say never, producing one-offs - but they couldn't be cheap, unfortunately.
Fair enough. I just wish
someday I could have a drivable version of this to drive around the layout: ]

What Deltang products are banned? I see you can buy the Rx 60etc series and Tx's in the US.

Hi Giles, my reponse was to Woodies post not yours. I already new they were available. I am a FB friend with On30 guy and quite familiar with his web site. But fake news permeates everywhere it seems.
BTW I bought a Blade MSLP4DSM Tx. Just need to obtain some RX45s from Andy at Micron.
