I am using the Digitrax Zephyr DCS51 and there is something happening that I cannot figure out and am hoping that someone with more experience out there might be able to help me out.
No matter what train I put on the track, they all will for some reason move along just fine and then for no reason at all will just stop. There is no power loss because all of the sound effects are still going (minus the chug). The train will just sit there for perhaps 5 to 10 seconds and then will suddenly continue on there way. I have watched to see if it happens more on certain sections of track but that doesn't seem to be the case and there doesn't seem to be a pattern and it will happen with any loco that I put on the track.
Just chug, chug, chug, stop.......... chug, chug chug chug chug.
I agree, talk to Digitrax. Something you might try...totally unplug the Digitrax unit, let it sit for a few minutes and then plug it back in (I am talking about the 110 volt wall plug). This could help clear the problem. Who knows what it is, but the manufacturer should have a clue. Good luck.

The person at Digitrax has not been terribly helpful, a bit rude actually.
I cleared the system as per the instructions and it had no effect. An interesting detail that might shed some light on it for someone out here; I timed the start/stop of the engines and it works as follows...
I can set the throttle at any speed and the train will chug along without issue for 8 seconds. It will then stop (with all sound fx still going, minus the "chug") for 17 seconds. It will then resume its normal operation for 8 seconds, then stop for 17, and so on.
During those 17 seconds, if I move the throttle even slightly up or down the train will move immediately but will again stop in 8 seconds, sit for 17 seconds, continue for 8 and so on.
Clearly this is a computer issue and not an issue with my track or engines.
