I wasn't around last Sunday (12/11) due to a computer explosion which caused the device to get thrown into White Rock lake. Now, I have a new, ultra modern computer which can detect imbalances in the force. Sooooo, this Sunday (12/18) we may discuss what we want Santa to bring and other earth-shaking topics. 9PM Central, right here.

Si,
Go to MENU at top of page scroll to CHAT and click, you are logged into chat.
People will only see posts from the time they log in.
On the left upper of screen it will show members that are logged in. Chat does not keep a record of chat once you sign out.

OK guys-once again 9AM CENTRAL US TIME SUNDAY. I am still looking for guys from overseas, we have several Texans and a fellow from Penna but we are doing this to attract some Englishmen, Frenchman, and anyone else who likes to chat. Hope to see some of you then.

Sorry that I missed last evenings chat.
It would seem that the idea of having a session earlier in the day, while a good idea on the surface, lacks any support from those that it was designed to accommodate.
While chat CAN be used anytime, by any members--I think that this particular use should be dropped, unless those in areas when the Sunday PM (in the US) time is impractical want to support it---it's up to them!
So--members in the EU or UK ---or elsewhere-- get something going if you think that it is worth it. If it survives, and the time works for us here in the Western Hemisphere-- we will join in.

I think a great format for the live discussion groups would be like mashing face book with yahoo answers. we each have our own accounts, can jump into or start a new conversation, or can ask questions.
Live chat would be helpful to us all. For U.S. modelers, evening seems to be a good time to have the discussions, but time isn't as important as you would think. With face book, live chat is, well... live. I can talk to anyone in the world at any time as long as that other person is up and watching.
As for what we talk about, again anything goes.
This is just my opinion, but i think it would work.

James, you can use facebook but I will not. I dislike the "socialist media" and will have to bow out on that. If you can find some others who like the site, then you may use whatever time you want on the chat. Sunday at 9PM Central US time is the regular time, feel free to visit and participate but as I said, I don't hang with facebook. What we have now is live, so check it out.

I am with Woodie on this.
Our chat is open to all Freerails members. I would guess Facebook is open to members of Facebook. I can see that the conversation would stay to all kinds of topics.
As they say if it ain't broke don't fix it.
