Decoder Pro is available as a FREE download. This program makes it easy to set-up the decoder just the way you like. Much easier than playing around trying to set-up the decoder on the controller. This is all done on your computer. I have it on a laptop and is easy to understand.  When you download it does not really show you much until such time as you hook it up to your layout

Decoder- Pro allows infinate control of Loco's including sound and running.

You may need to purchase a booster that helps the computer talk to the decoder in the loco. I use a Cirtronics brand. it can be purchased on line. About $60 .00 if I recall correctly. This is the one recommended by JMRI ( Decoder Pro )

Have a look at it, I think this nearly as good as sliced bread. And the price is right.

Don.

PS Even I can use it and I have troubles sending a email.

Plus 1 on Decoder pro and I use a Digitrax PR3 with mine for about the same price and it to works well. These can both be used (Free Standing) and away from the layout as well.

:rah:

Thanks Don , Mike
