Yesterday I had a chance to go with a few friends to operate on an HO layout about an hour away.   I really like seeing other layouts and how people operate them.
Some photos:

Saturday I'm going with another bunch to a layout over two hours away.  It's going to be a day trip by the time we drive over, operate and drive back.   Hopefully I'll remember to get some pics.

See ya

I dont know what Photobucket did to me but it didn't take me to the right images the first time I clicked the link.

Impressive layout. Is it perception/angle or did they have to remove a ceiling tile to clear a tree on the mountain top? Staging area looks tricky too.

The staging area in the furnace room was pretty tight. He took out a ceiling tile and put in a mirror. There is going to be a helix inside the mountain, so I guess that will let you see your train.

Photobucket put me on the new beta program. Got some cool features, but still has some bugs. Sorry about that.

Ya know, if Shawn hadn't mentioned it, don't think I would have tried twice ... first page was weird ... second try (same link!) brought up that rather impressive train layout! Looks like fun.

Another layout I operated on yesterday (Saturday).

Did part of the session lights turned down as a night operation.

Let's see if Photobucket has fixed their problem after I complained to them.

Here is another one for ya.   The Butte Mine and Eastern (BME) owned by Bruce Ernatt in Troy, MI.   Even though I was dispatcher, I was able to get some photos and videos of the action:

I took along my cab ride camera and had one of the guys use it on a run around most of the layout
