You might contact Blackstone to see what they say about this. BTW, what kind of cars are you pulling and are they weighted and have free rolling trucks? Remember that most NG lines didn't run long trains and if they did, they might have a helper or two in the train.
I'm with you Woodie.
A good friend of mine has lots of Blackstone loco's and they can easily pull 10 cars or more. He has some decent grades that they need to negotiate as well. They are sweet runners, almost made me change from N and 0n30 LOL. Sounds like more to it to me. Another friend in N Scale has tried Bull Frog Snot and it was not a success. I try to keep away from using anything on the track, just keep it clean.
Hi there I am a new member here and the project manager for the Harry Brunks UC&N at the Cheyenne Depot Museum, We are running Blackstone C-19's and have added weight under the pilot, along the running boards and in the cab roof, also a little in the tender, we also run with frog snot on the number 3 set of drivers. They pull a few more cars now up the 4% grades, depending on the condition of the rails and the age of the frog snot.
