.... that you are willing to part with? They have been backordered for a long time and I'm having trouble figuring out what they have available just looking at list at Caboose Hobbies.
Or... Do you know a good place for me to put up a want ad for a catalog?

Oh goodness, I opened a can of frogs talking about the PSC O scale catalog! Nope, they ain't printed one in some years. Mike-send me a PM and maybe I can help a bit. I have had great success ordering directly from PSC, they take my debit card number and the parts get here within a week.

No worries Woodie. I'm just looking through the web hoping I could find a place where railroad guys trade with each other and when I say trade I mean buy and sell form each other. If there were such a place, I bet I could find someone that would sell me an unused catalog. Then I could look up what I needed. I don't really know what they have to offer. What I do know is that you have some nice larger details on your conversions and I'd like to buy some of those pieces myself but without knowing what I'm looking at it's pretty hard to order anything.

Well, I got an old one... Catalog #2 from Abe Books for fourteen bucks. We shall see if it has what I need. I hope it does.

Caboose Hobbies dumped about 75% of their O scale castings from Precision quite sometime ago. They do have a fair selection of HO castings. Being a scratch builder myself, it has been real difficult to come up with the parts I need. Try direct or also some of the other better named hobby shops.

Beware of Caboose Hobbies, if you are in immediate need.
I ordered 8 items early in January,
5 separate shipments and 2 months later
I received the last item.
My first and last time to order from Caboose Hobbies.

I don't order PSC or Grandt from shops any more after months of waiting and "back order" BS...I CALL the companies up and deal with them directly. The nice ladies I have talked to at both places will look up my part numbers and tell me whether they have them in stock or not RIGHT NOW. An example, I can order parts on a Tuesday and the following Friday or Saturday...the box is on the front porch and I know exactly what I am getting. That is service.

Well, I've had a generous offer from a fellow Free Railer to scan some of the needed pages and I have a used copy of the catalog comming in the mail. So, I think I have this issue covered. Thanks for all the help, guys.
Ill order direct too.

I know the waiting game is often a project killing point when trying to figure out what to order and then not getting it. If you need some items, I could possibly speed your process up a little. If you want to forward your part numbers on a PM, I will check the Caboose stock, since I am there almost every Sunday. I used to work there and do know where the items are very well. I sympathize with anyone trying to order items from hobby shops or manufactures. The subject has come up several times in discussions about the length of time to get or never get things. In all fairness we as modelers still need to remember that the vast majority of suppliers are just very small operations. For the most part I do not like dealing with the suppliers that have bought out major lines of products. They seem to be the slowest to respond. Well that's my soap box rant today. So if anyone needs help, don't be afraid to ask.
