Well, nobody calls it On36 so I suppose On2 1/2 is as proper as anything as long as we all understand that we are talking about O scale models of 30" or 2-1/2' or 2'-6" or 2.5' gauge... It's all the same, isn't it?

Trouble maker! Herb, you do know what you're starting with the sub-heading, don't you?

Must read Mudel Roadrailer.....:us:

I stopped taking that magazine many years ago but when I was a kid, I eagerly anticipated every issue. Why is that now part of this discussion? As a relative new comer to model railroading I catch tiny bits and pieces of some argument here. I just don't understand why.... It seems too picky to worry about. Sort of like "You say tomAto and I say tomOto". Who cares?

Okay, I was razzing Herb (we's likes good hearted humor 'round here) but for those not familiar, way back when, Model Railroader magazine decided to alter what everyone else called On30 (including Bachmann) and called it On2-1/2 in their articles.

Many found that just crazy but that's how the magazine saw it.  Not all discussions stay on the straight and narrow around here. We tend to find fun in life were we can.

Now Herb / Woodie, you can delete my post.

Thanks!

Case in point. http://mrr.trains.com/news-and-reviews/product-reviews/staff-reviews/2011/12/video-bachmann-on2-12-porter-040t

I just Googled the term On2 1/2 and this popped up. Sheesh....

A little different subject but I seem to detect on the fringes some animosity with NGSL magazine. What's the issue there? That is my favorite magazine of any kind. Recently I've been buying up back issues because I can't get enough it.

Decided to stop there my eyes aren't as good as they were many years ago, trying to get the correct size on the buttons on those overalls my engineers wear are the hardest damm things to get correct.

I'm hungry now I think I will get some "pie"
