Before I say anything more, I want to make this clear. I love the articles in the Logging, Mining, and Industrial annual. I do not wish to have this turn into any sort of argument, but I respectfully want to bring to light a little issue I noticed in the magazine.
I wrote about my take on the editor's note on page 76 of the magazine. You can view my blog by going here: jjwtrains.blogpsot.com.jjwtrains.blogspot.com
Again I want to stress that I don't want this topic to turn into a mass badgering of the magazine or a major argument. I simply want to ask a question; are we really what this man says we are?
I know this forum has zero tolerance for abuse, and I will carry the same on my blog. If you are to offer a rebuttal, then please do so respectfully.
Nope, I won't berate the editor of said magazine. I will tell that he deleted me from his "fine scale" website because he "heard" about my gripes aired on a Sunday night chat here on Freerails. The general tone of the publication(s) seem to be..."if you ain't won awards and don't build museum quality replicas then you ain't worthy of being included in my mags."
Maybe he will delete me again!

I'm willing to bet they have received numerous replies to such an article. Myself, having not read it and going only with what James has posted on his blog, I too find the comments disparaging and elitist in nature. As I don't suscribe to 'Museum Modeler' I guess I can go back to my 'toys' and carry on.
Some people just cant feel good about themselves if they aren't bashing others in a effort to make themselves look better than they really are. Apparently that editor is one of "those" people. It's unfortunate because I buy several of his publications.... or I should say I use to buy them. Oh well, now I have more money so spend on my lazy collection of non scale models that aren't worth a ton of money. Thanks for the help buddy....
