You know Mike you've hit the nail on the head here. I seem to have the same problem I like all aspects of the railroad hobby. I'm drawn in many different directions and loose focus fast. That's why I have a Garford truck that I started many years ago and never finished.
Here's something that kind of baffled me. I found this on another RR forum.
" I don't really enjoy hand laying track, super detailing locos or rolling stock, hosting more than one or two friends for an operating sessions, or most anything that has to do with wiring, soldering, or electrical circuits -- and so I designed my own layout to be long on the stuff I like doing and short on the stuff I don't much care for."
For the life of me I can't comprehend somebody getting into model railroading with this many dislikes. I showed this statement to a friend of mine and he came up with many other aspects that this person might be interested in.
So I have to look at myself and say not to be so judgmental of this person because he doesn't like model railroading for the same reason I do. Yet it's hard to comprehend not liking all aspects of this hobby.
