Hi all,

This is my new Sn2 (but running on 9mm gauge track) project.
Waterfront scene in a small space, 1 X 2 ft. in size.
A couple of months ago I started building this layout. Then this had no name.
Last month the layout was named after the late Geoff Nott who gave me (still gives me) a thousand ideas.

Well, here are some pictures of the layout under construction.

Structures were temporally placed on the board.

Truss bridge

Tobacco shop

Railroad/steamship line ticket office is to be put between this tobacco shop and the brick building.

Boat shop

At first this structure was made as a mine building for my On30 layout.

Shoe repair shop

Backdrop is curtain fabric.

To be continued....

Regards

Junior

Junior,

Great little layout. I just love those buildings you build. Can't wait to see more pictures. Great modeling.

Bernd

Junior,
It is nice to see some of your fantastic modeling again. I like the detail inside the shoe repair store.

Thanks Martin,

I am referring also to your waterfront layouts.
The additional part of the boat shop was inspired by a structure that you built. ;)

Today I bought the latest issue of the Gazette, and I got many ideas from his "Smuggler's Cove" article.
The article is very impressive!!

Thanks Bernd,

Now I'm building structures for this layout.
Three or four structures are needed.
When they have completed I'd like to start building the wharf.

Please wait for the next update. ;)

Also thanks Larry, My old friend! :bg:

My On30 models are sleeping in the boxes...

By the way, opinions are always welcome.

Regards

Junior

Hi Junior,
Geoff would have been very impressed by your latest efforts.
More Smugglers Cove photos are at http://www.freerails.com/view_topic.php?id=4108&forum_id=17&page=4 and there is is a link on the last page of this thread to Mario's photos of Geoff's work to provide additional inspiration (if any more is required)

Junior

Glad to see more of your excellent work!

The shot of just the window and door pieces-- are they commercial, or castings from molds that you have made?

Awaiting more,

Herb
