Helmut,
I built a Fiehmann SST/7, it was amazing for the time.
What really got me was his radio controlled F7 setup
(I still have the original magazine),
that sparked an interest that continues to this day with RC trains.

I needed some vintage style wire for my faux tube amp,
and found a great source for old-timey electrical stuff at Vintage Wire & Supply.
That cotton covered round wire just fits in with the period transformer.
