Hello guys, I need your help. :us:

I am searching for plans & drawings of 'Fricke' chain-side cane-cars,
that were commonly used by the sugar plantations on the Hawaiian islands.

I already found one drawing on the CaneSIG site,
but it was not good enough.

This is one of those times that Google failed me.

If anyone has a copy of J.C.Condes 'Sugar Trains' book and could check if there's a drawing ?
I don't recalled seeing a drawing, when I had checked out the book on a Inter-Library loan a little while back.

I came up empty when I went through NG&SL Gazettes.

I am planning on building a bunch of these in SM32/SM45.

There has always been a simmering interest in the Hawaiian Islands ...

... & other locations, sugar cane trams.  :thumb:

I seem to recall someone asking recently, about 'cane train' rolling stock.  L:

Just 're-discovered' & dredged up this Thread, from the  'General Talk - Off Topic'  Forum ...

... the 'Technical' Forum is the place for interesting chassis stuff to be Posted.

So ...

If anyone else has any 'cane train' car & chassis info. please Post it.

:)

Si.
