Now fellow track crazies, here's one that just begs to be modeled...if you dare!
Dual gauge (56.5" & 36") crossing with a turnout running through it, or vice versa. This wonderful piece of work was at the Diamond & Caldor- Diamond Springs sawmill. This photo was taken by Richard F. Thomas in 1952 and is from Mallory Hope Ferrell's "Eldorado Narrow Gauge" article in the April 2009 Logging, Mining, & Industrial Annual by Westlake Publishing (there, got it all mentioned). What you don't see is that this is reported to be a stub switch. Now, who will build one and then for you techies out there, WHO will figure out how to wire the thing? I don't have to worry about such trivia but many do. OK, any takers? Huh?
