Thanks Si.

The board is on very thin cardboard. That is indeed the reason for the warping. But with with some heavier peaces of wood on the inside I can fix that issue.

I made the building about 15 years back. At that time I didn't have much experience in scratch building and also didn't want to waste material (money) on a proper constructionbase.

Have changed the general store. The warping is gone, the loading and storage dock has a new look and I have added and changed some details. See the previous page for the old state.

Thanks Daniel,

The red ones on the left are apples from some cheap modeltree. The middle three are just small pieces of foam. The stuff on the right are very tiny strips of wood from a plant out the garden. I can't remember wich species it was, too long ago.
I think you can also use seeds from flowers or weeds. Maybe you have to paint those however.

Wow, really.

Crazy how just simple little items are so useful to represent something when modelling. Just need to remember these things when I come to detailing mine.

cheers Dan

Long time ago I posted something here. Still not much done on the layout but I have build some freightcars. The unpainted flatcar is a Tichy kit wich I build a year ago. The one to the front is build from wood and some leftovers.
I forgot the coupler pockets but I can fix that. The trucks are uninstalled and needs some paint first. Also a break wheel has to be added.

Oh, and a happy 2017 to everyone!
