I went to a local train show on Saturday and some of the models I found were 7 of these HO scale, North West Short Line "Connoisseur Line" Logging Camp Cars. They were "new in the box" models made for NWSL in KOREA and have the name Kimche Co. on the bottom. I have no idea when these were made, but they are very nicely made to include bottom detail. The seller was anxious to move these and made me a really good "bargain" price if I would take all 7.
This one is labeled "Rayonier camp car, CLcc6, 31' with clerestory". I have 4 of this model.
This one is labeled "Goodyear Logging Co camp car, CLcc9, 40' with clerestory". I have 1 of this car.
This one is labeled Cascade Lumber Camp C, CLcc7, 40' & clerestory". I have 2 of this car.
They come in a nice box with a short history of the camp car. The buyer needs to add trucks, add couplers and paint, stain or whatever.
If anyone here is familiar with Lyle Spears Logging Camp "How to Articles" these camp cars are very like the ones he has plans for in the Model Railroader, July 1966 issue and others.
In 1961 Lyle Spears self-published a booklet of 76 of his drawings that he called "Logs A' Rollin". I was able to buy a copy from him about 5 years ago.
