...I switched off 'the-tube' (B&W) around noon...

...no VCRs, cellphones, computers or Playstations(TM)...

...yet...

...thought, darn it; I just can't wait till next weeks 'Thrilling Episode'...

...I only just about managed to catch this weeks !...

...the vacuum-tubes in the TV, were 'on the blink' AGAIN...

...so...

...I put my Cecil B. DeMille hat on...

...& did next weeks 'Thrilling Episode' myself; in the sand out back !!!

:moose:Holy Hollywood ... The Wild Bunch are after me ! ... I'm outta here ...

Hi Woodie...

...or should I say " Howdy Pardner ! "

These dudes are as cool as a cucumber, when it comes to a hand of 5 card !

DESPERADOES ... fleeing from the Marshall's posse...

...or the Marshall's posse after a bunch of DESPERADOES !

I'm not sure yet ... I havn't got the story straight ... yet !

One thing we sure know around here a ways is...

...the lawlessness in these tin-cup minin' & loggin' towns...

...would make them poleetishuuns back in Washington toes curl !

A fella needs a little poker, rot-gut & a friendly brawl round these parts...

...just like them folks need their Wall Street Journal, lemon tea & hot water bottle !!!

Thanks for ridin' by the ranch W.C. ...

...yer mighty welcome any time, for a plate of beans & some target practise !

Take the trail South of the gultch on yer way back to Mogollon...

...there's bin a whole lotta bad-ass bandidoes North of the river of late.

Adios amigo !

That are some cool figures Si. I especially like the last photo.

Little critic: the white horse has also white eyes, that looks a bit alienish. A litlle dot of black paint will help.

I would consider giving Bob's horse a black-eye...

'six shooter' Bob is mighty fond o' that lil' pony...

...she's got 'im outta a few tight spots; I can tell yer.

Drop by for some chilli-beans at the ranch anytime Alwin !

You want mules Si for real tough going, they horses ain't up to it in the desert.
20 mule wagon train, 10 days from Death Valley mines to the railhead at Mojave or Ludlow, about 36 tons !. Then another 10 days back to the mines. They claim they never lost a mule, maybe killed a few but never lost one !!

Regards. Michael

I can send our company photographer over. He has captured some surprising scenes.

This scene is particularly disturbing, especially to the horses. :bg:

Hi cowboys & injuns fans :thumb:

I came across this the other day.

It isn't 'Timpo' or even 1:32 scale.

It's a very old, very small scale, clockwork toy train set, by U.K company 'Tri-ang'.

Don't all rush at once trying to score one on eBay...
...they were absolute GARBAGE !
But perhaps all you need, when you're 5 years old.
( D.C.C, R.C, wireing etc. a bit complex at that age ! )

What I like is the 'Box Art', It at least goes with the theme of the thread...
...so here it is.

YYYYYYYEEEEEEEHHHHHHHAAAAAAAWWWWWWW !!!!!!!

I just love it! Imagine a "European" tank loco (Thomas?) fitted with a cowcatcher pulling some 4 wheel cars...in the "old west US". I guess it's OK, I have seen this many times in movies. I am still waiting to see a flick showing a UP 2-10-4 hauling a train of varnish across the hills in Ireland. That would be a hoot!

That parrot isn't dead, it's just sleeping...

Well, how about a Baldwin USATC S200 "Middle East" Class in Turkey?
Not to forget the Skyliners. Comes close to your dream, Woodie?

I'm glad this thread came to light again, I had lost track of it.

Si, that's Wile Coyote watching the action. Roadrunner is a bird. (kinda like a skinny parrot) I haven't scored a roadrunner figure off ebay yet. He is hard to get like I like 'em... cheap. :bg:

Herb, those horses were trained by a Nicaraguan prancing horse whisperer... lift those hoofs high! :mex:

Helmut, no not a dream of mine! My dream would be a 10 ton 2 foot gauge Shay hauling commuters through downtown Dallas. I just might get a job again to ride down there!

I love those old "western" figures! I can see that some different paint and maybe new barrels on the guns would be nice. The old barrels look like the guns are made to shoot around corners!
