Great job modeling an industry seldom modeled, Peter.
Enormous amount of little things, that make the scene more realistic.
Hope that the damp air doesn't make the sugar turn into one big lump

Great work indeed. Is it gonna be a part of a bigger layout?

Thanks for the comments guys.
Yes Alwin we are planning on building similar scenes and later on integrate them on a bigger layout.
We actually build custom model railroads for a living but ironically we don't have a working layout of our own at the moment.
We do have several started projects in scales like HO, On30, and G but unfortunately for lack of space those are stored.
When we started this new project we choose a size small enough to allow us to complete it in a couple weeks.
We only had 2 weeks free and we didnt wanted another huge piece of layout left unfinished waiting for another holiday to see some progress.
Small dioramas like this give you the freedom to do anything you want even if its hasn't anything to do with your current layout or scale,
and gives you the chance to work in detailing scenes rather than just laying track or do huge scenery work or whatever.
It's a good rest from model railroading on a layout.
So in a way we took a vacation from model railroading by model railroading.
