Hi, This is my first post and I look forward to participating in this forum. I have built four small layouts and am preparing to build another this winter. High Trestle Creek is Gn15 and entirely scratch built with the exception of rail, wheels, motor mechanisms and people. It has two loops for continuous operation.

Looks awesome. I've been working on something similar but in Fn18 scale. Can you tell me a little about your skips? Did you make them? I'm in need of some and I like the looks of yours.

Patrick

Hi Bob,

Herb asked me if I could delete the duplicate posted. Hopefully I got rid of all the duplicate posts and saved the right one with a reply in it. If not I'm sorry.

Let me know if what is left is OK.

Regards,

Bernd

Patrick,

The skips are scratch built. Forgive my fumbling...I am new to the forum. I don't know how to attach multiple images so will probably have to make three quick posts to load pictures. The tubs are made from cardstock. The frames are plastic rails with plastic journal boxes and HO wheelsets.

Correction. After looking at pictures I recall that the journals were cut from cheap plastic unsprung HO archbar trucks.

Thanks a lot for the pictures and explanation on the skips Bob. Welcome to the forum and thanks for contributing. This is my favorite forum. Make sure check out the Battery Power/RC forum, groundbreaking things going on there.

Patrick,

Today I posted in the RC section. I recently began converting to dead rail using DelTang RC equipment. Working great on the three critters I have converted thus far. Picture is one of the critters I converted.

Ha, I saw your posts. Awesome critters! Love your ingenuity with the batteries. But as I said, ground breaking things being posted there. 😄
