Our US colleagues may already know about this but there is a "live action" Internet site that has live Despatcher/Conductor/Engineer radio calls that I have just come across.

There is also an automated, often female voice, that is a trackside information/defect remote detector that records number of axles, temperature (wheel - bearing temp I guess) etc.

The Internet site is RailRoadRadio.net - it doesn't sound so good on crappy old 'puters like mine but can be better on newer computers (apparently). Enjoy !!.

Michael, do you have a link so us folks who don't know where to find it can listen in? It sounds like a fun time listening.

Not sure if I'm going NUTZ ! or not ?

But RailroadRadio.net is kinda interesting  ...

... when you get 'in to it'.

You do have to get a decent 'feed' though & be slightly patient.

I listened to Central New Jersey & L.A. today !
