Ok Gang,
Here's the first look at work in progress of my new Indoor/Outdoor R&P Lumber Company layout. This layout is being built along one side of my garage wall indoors and loop through a tunnel to the outside section witch I'll cover this Spring. The theme of this layout is a backwoods logging operation set in the "Piney Woods" of East Texas.
as the layout progress I'll post pictures of scenery, track work, buildings and loco conversions. This layout will have very "Tall 2'feet to 3 feet Pine Trees all over it for scenery blocking and a lot of little detail scene's Just like in my YouTube Video.

P.S Next posting will be the Track Plans.

Keep you posted:

Ronnie,

This is cool stuff. Say, didn't you have a similar thread from a few years ago? I remember looking up G scale indoor layouts and the same backdrop style showed up. That's really all I remember from the thread.

Great work Ronnie! Just why is it that you (living in CO) are into E Texas logging...and I (living in TX) am modeling NM ore haulers...??? Well, I did once model a C Texas logger, the Cedar Tap RR, and still love the old, obscure, & forgotten line. Come to think of it, my current love, Silver City NG is obscure, old, and forgotten.... Glad to see you here again, we want more & more.

Woodie (Beaudreaux in E Texas lingo)

James,
Many Thanks !!! And to answer your question, I did but I had to abandon my first attempt in the garage due other work my wife wanted me to get done. !! But now things are full steam ahead and I've been planning this new layout for a year. At first it was just going to be a point to point logging line but I would have gotten bored with that so I decided to punch a hole through the wall and let it loop the outside of the garage.

Stay posted more to come. !!!

Woody,
Glad to see your indoors with the rest of us.!!!!
:thumb: I decided to model East Texas narrow Gauge because I'm a "TEXAN" and you don't hear much about them, And there's not a lot of books out there on Logging in the Piney Woods of Texas. Once someone told me there was never Narrow Gauge in Texas. And I had to prove him wrong. !!!! Plus most of the narrow gauge layouts here "ALL LOOK THE SAME".!! little mining towns. I prefer the rundown deep backwoods logging lines over the mining layouts.

I'll keep you posted as work progress.!!
Have a good Christmas Woody.
