Glad to hear it's sunny Michael.
The Christmas in Colorado might be expanded a bit, we're taking a side trip to southern Utah down to Phoenix and then back up to Denver before I leave.
Enjoy you vacation.

Hey everyone,
I desperately need to update this. I'm at the end of my trip in Colorado and am in fact on the #6 California Zephyr from here to Omaha. Amazingly, the train was early. When I get home I'll be able to post pictures. For now though, I've got a few interesting topics:
>I found the Midland Terminal grade up the hill from Manitou Springs including two tunnels. It's even hikable in the summer so I may come back and try to walk a portion of it.
>I took a side trip down to New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. While I saw more national parks than trains, I did get a couple of photos outside Flagstaff of the BNSF mainline. I also have a photo of a railroad grade just outside Arches National Park.
>I found Gold Camp Road which is the old grade for the Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek that was abandoned in 1921.
>Then there was a day trip down to Florence Colorado where the Florence and Cripple Creek began it's long and winding trek to Victor.
I never got to see the Colorado Railroad Museum or the Georgetown Loop on this trip. But thankfully, I'll be back in Denver for the Garden Railroad Convention.
So stay tuned for the last few posts. And thanks everyone for taking a look. The only thing I enjoy more than traveling is sharing it with people such as the folks on freerails.
