I've had some emails asking about one of the most popular brick ghost signs, and that would be COCA-COLA.  Since the sign painters for Coca-Cola often left some of the brick exposed, this makes Coca-Cola one of the easiest signs to make as a ghost sign.  The hardest part as I mentioned above, is matching the COLOR of your printed brick to the color of the brick in your building.  Once this step has been mastered, the rest is a cake-walk.  Remember ghost signs look more realistic if they cover the entire area side to side.  Below is one I did with a Dutch Boy rusted simulated tin sign.
Thanks for looking,
D.A.

I am crazy about old signs. I had never thought of photographing the model wall and digitally applying the sign.
Great idea.  Thanks.
Your signs are as good as it gets.

This could come handy for people wanting to do "barn" signs that have faded over time. I so badly wanted to model a barn on my layout to include this painted on the side in a ghost pattern (from the early 30s) but didn't have the room to model one correctly. But I badly wanted to do exactly this as there were lots of these in the area I model, well into my youth, all painted during the 30s and 40s:
