Yesterday I replaced one of my power windows mechanism and ended with this perfectly good motor:

I think would be great for something like a powered transfer table. High torque, reversible, compact, has gearbox.... and free!. Jose.

There was a fellow in this area that built trolleys in 1/2'' scale. His power trucks for the cars used those motors, albeit without the built in gearbox.

The built-in gearbox (with a different gear on the output) has almost the proper reduction for a transfer table ( I did it once). It has as much torque as your power supply can feed to it so probably worked great for your traction buddy.Jose.
