I understand, a lot of people indeed. When I find a nice photo of myself (as far as that is possible :bg:) I post it in the members photo album.

Part 3 of the show.

American layout in Fn3:

(where are the parents of this kid?)

Next layout:

Zwaaghoek, a layout based on a Dutch tramway:

A bit an overload of pictures of the last layout but it was difficult to choose.

This was it. There were more layouts but I didn't take pictures of all of them.

Hi Alwin,
Thanks for Part 3.
I like all of the layouts but that braced-up building is a nice unusual touch on "Zwaaghoek". Too many really good photos not to include them.
Thanks again for the Ontraxs coverage

I agree

Some really fine modeling--and on segments of a display layout that has to stand the rigors of moving etc.

The work of a talented, dedicated modeler!

Thanks for posting these photos!

Clearly, they aren't nearby.
Many display layouts in the US have rope barriers around them, especially for things like this. But I've seen worse, I recently saw a teenager stop a train with his hand and start picking rolling stock off the track and putting them all over the place! The parents didn't really go nuts, either, but the layout people sure did. One of the cars he picked up and rolled onto its side was a brass car.
I'd like to think that kid had mental issues, but you just never know.
I certainly would have regretted doing anything like that if my parents had seen me.

Si,

I'll second that!

Neat tight wye and some great looking track!  :2t:

Thanks for the photos.  Don't get to see layouts in other countries very often.

Yes, some great photos and wonderful craftsmanship. Thanks for the tour.
Lee, yes that kid needed to be yanked up by his "keepers" but to be fair, I have seen more damage done to show layouts by "adults" than the kids! My little On20 layout was displayed at a local show some time back and the kids who came by seemed to keep their distance and apparently knew how to read DO NOT TOUCH. But not so one of the "experienced model railroader" types who not only touched the little Shay while it was running but tried to do some switching and ended up pulling the points off the throwbar and screwing the entire layout up. I took it home where it has not left again. In another lifetime, I would have whacked this "modeler" upside his idiot head. Thankfully I have better things to do now.
The kids are the future of this hobby, without them it will die when the last dinosaur (most of us) bites the dust!

Woodrow
