George, I agree. I have started laying track in the harbor area and have worked my way roughly halfway around the room. So far, it all fits pretty well, but I think that as I get into the yard area and the street trackage I may need to slightly change the design to get it all in place - maybe drop some yard tracks to get it all in.

I'm a "dead rail" fan, so no need to worry about electrical isolation and such. Just cut and fit as needed. Just like the real world, only smaller!

No problems, that's why the thread was started in the first place. The fact that you're taking a plan and using it to build a real life layout is all the better. Herb will like the plan I'm sure, he's the traction king around here.

Dave I like your plan. I have a little more space and have made several changes to mine. Just finished laying more track. Hope to get to scenery soon.
