Hello, Soviet era computator again fails to connect properly with the Gallery so it'll have to be separate posts. I can't enter anything below a photo, neither text nor further pix.

As usual, I start with laying in the crossing V's (frogs) but this time only ONE of the furthest outside V's in case I run out of space :  (see above pix I think ).

The switches are only 9' so they have to be hand fitted to the stock rails, no $$$$ pre-machined jigs could do this :

Start laying in more of the iron :

Yet more iron goes down :

Damn Gallery thing has jammed up again. Probably doesn't like 'proper' technology that uses hot glowing wires in nice glass bulbs.

At the moment there are no running rails matched to their matching gauge rail. I just put ALL the iron in on one side then start worrying about stuff like getting the gauge correct. :

I opted for heel-less switches (each end of a switch pair is just one rail) to ease the 'lectric supply problem but this means there is a hell of a pull on the 9' switch rails so I decided to lay down central anchor plates for the notional heel positions rather than pull the whole lot of the ballast after a few switch lever pulls :

This is VERY tedious, Gallery seized up again but where is the problemo ?

Indestructible Soviet thermonuclear valves (I think should be thermionic) or the FR Gallery ??

I've lost the plot again (nothing new) - where was I ?

Sorry folks, this is a total waste of my time if I can only post ONE photo at a time.

Anyway, it's all built and finished.

Regards,    Michael

It's looking great Michael!

How are you uploading pictures to freerails?  As I understand it, there's a couple of ways.  Personally, I use either the gallery, or a blog, then add the image to the post via the image URL.

Never had a problem posting multiple images to one post before.

Hi Michael

Sorry to hear about your problems. :f:

Perhaps when you're over them, the Freerails Gallery may magically work just fine for you ! ;)

Anyhow, back in the 'real world'.

Maybe attempting to Post a long step-by-step on the construction of complex pointwork ...

... after midnight, when tired or with elevated bodily ethanol levels ...

... may not be the ideal way to do it !

Luckily though !

Freerails has this wonderful thing called the EDIT button.

It can be used during lucid-moments to clean-up confused Posts !

A useful feature for some of our esteemed users. :P

Pleased to see anyhow, that none of those 180-Deg. rotated photos have appeared again.

I'll just guarantee to you AGAIN ! Michael, that the Freerails Gallery CAN'T DO THIS EVER either !!

I gave it some further thought though ... L:

... I think you either uploaded them like that ...

... had your old Soviet cold-war era C.R.T. monitor mounted on your desk upside-down ...

... or were standing on your head, whilst taking the photograph.

It could have been one of those intergalactic 180-Deg. reverse energy-fields ...

... like they have on 'Star Trek' sometimes, mainly on the planet Zorg though ...

... we are ( most of us ) on planet Earth, last time I checked.

Si.
